Dr. Chavarria earned his medical degree from Mercer University (Macon, GA) in 1999, and successfully completed a general surgery residency at University of Tennessee, Chattanooga in 2005. Dr. Chavarria is board certified in general surgery
and a Fellow of the American College of SurgeonsHis areas of interest include breast surgery, especially breast conservation with MammoSite balloon replacement. He also specializes in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery for the colon, gallbladder, spleen and adrenal gland with single site laparoscopic surgery being offered to select patients.
